| This question is commonly asked but what the
person usually wants is more power. The fuel on every application
is set to the maximum point in regards to air intake, exhaust,
operating temperature and allowable emissions. Increasing the
fuel delivery without changing the items listed above usually
results in shortening the life of the fuel system and the engine
as well as exceeding allowable emissions. There are several ways
to increase power in an acceptable manner that will not damage
any part of the engine and will still meet emissions requirements.
These avenues should be fully explored before attempting to adjust
the fuel delivery of the pump. |
