| The injection pump on the 5.9L Dodge has an aneroid controlled by turbo boost. The line carrying boost pressure to the injection pump can become damaged and leak boost pressure which in turn causes low fuel output by the injection pump. Turbo boost should be checked with a boost gauge and the line inspected to make sure the pump is getting all the boost required. The overflow valve fitting mounting the fuel return line to the injection pump has also been known to cause low power problems. If the spring has broken or has weakened it could cause low pressure in the fuel galley and result in low power.
