The best way to route the wires for the full pod is to loosen
the factory pillar (see step 2) and run the wires from under
the dash, up between the pillar and the dash, and then between
the pillar and the cab.
Before loosening the factory pillar position the gauge pod
on top of the pillar and mark the bottom of each gauge hole.
Remove pod and drill holes in the pillar large enough to access
the wires at the locations marked.
The factory pillar is held on by three clips, one in the center
and one between the center and each end. These clips will release
if the pillar is carefully pulled straight out, it may be difficult
to completely remove the pillar so you may want to leave it
on the vehicle and work around it.
Pull the wires and/or the boost tube through their respective
holes in the pillar. Be sure to leave enough slack to connect
the gauges from the outside of the pod. Also make sure the wires
are located away from the pillar clips so that they do not get
pinched and are free in order to remove any excess slack.
The factor pillar can now be carefully reinstalled.
Before mounting the gauge pod, install the gauges in their
respective holes on the gauge pod to insure a proper fit. The
holes may need to be trimmed slightly to allow gauge installation,
however the gauge should still fit snug. Once gauges fit properly
they can be removed from the pod.
Position the pod onto the pillar allowing the wires and boost
tube to protrude from their respective holes.
Connect each gauge per its instructions (note: a straight fitting
is provided separately for the boost gauge. This makes it easier
to install into the gauge pod and limits the chances of crimping
the boost tube as would be the case if using the 90 degree fitting
provided in the hose kit).
Once all the gauges are connected push each one into its respective
hole while removing any excess slack from the wiring.
Once the pod is fitted properly to the pillar the holes for
the attachment rivets can be drilled to hold the top and then
use the remaining ones to secure any areas that might be loose.
